Oh. My. God. I LOVE the Puppy Bowl! It is the most brilliant alternative to football ever thought of. I don’t watch football, so when the Superbowl came on a few years ago I began channel surfing. Somehow I ended up on Animal Planet, where they were airing their first ever Puppy Bowl.
I was mesmerized. It was the most ridiculous, adorable thing I have ever seen. I mean, it was just hours of puppies. Running. Playing. Being tormented by the football cam. Back then there was relatively little human involvement, except when a ref would come onto the field, declare a puppy foul on the 40 yard line and wipe up a puddle of pee.
Incidentally, I have the first four Puppy Bowls on DVD…
